If you do not have a digital video camera, I highly recommend that you purchase the Canon S5 IS Digital Camera. It can be bought from AMAZON.co.uk or from any good photographic retailer. Prices on the web vary, but expect to pay about £215 inc VAT. You will also need a large MEMORY CARD and I recommend that you buy a 16Gb or 32Gb SDHC that fits the Canon S5. A 16Gb SDHC Memory card costs approx £50 inc VAT. A good place to look for great value at is www.nextdaymemory.com
VIDEO UPLOAD
1) Videos can be added to any of your webpages.
2) Videos are uploaded to your website via an UPLOAD FORM that we build for you on a page of your website. The Form looks something like this:
| Video Location: | |
3) When you Click the BROWSE button, a
window opens that allows you to find the Location of the Video on
your computer. Try it and see!
4) When you click the 'Click to Upload Videos' button,
the video will then be auto-uploaded to your website. (The example button
above has been disconnected, so it will not do anything if clicked!).
Uploading is as simple as that. The time taken to send a video is dependent
on the size of the video clip and the speed of your internet connection. For
a standard 2Mbps broadband connection a 2 minute video clip will usually
take about 4 minutes.
VIDEO CONVERSION & COMPRESSION
Before you can Upload a video, it needs to be Converted & Compressed into the correct format. This is not difficult, and we will provide you with a free Conversion and Compression tool that does it all for you.
All you need to be able to do is to transfer the digital video from your camera to your computer. This is usually very straightforward and is normally the same procedure that you use for transferring your digital photos to your computer.
